[print of the week]
Thanks for bearing with me the last week, guys. I started a new job, am preparing for a giant garage sale and in doing so went through every box in my garage. (Why I still have book reports from 1997 is beyond me. I’m happy to say, those are gone for good!)
Well, thankfully I have for us a Print of the Week today. This week it’s a wonderful screenprint from Fieldguided based in Toronto. “Vu de l’extérieur” is the name of a Serge Gainsbourg album, and it can mean both “seen from the exterior” and “exterior view.”
From their website, “Anabela Carneiro and Geoff Piersol are the couple behind Fieldguided. Operating as a blog and a line of hand-made and artistic goods, Fieldguided encompasses Anabela and Geoff’s various interests in art, design, fashion, music, and literature.”
Find Fieldguided elsewhere:
Their blog is wonderful.

Moon and Back Valentine's Day Card 1pc
Quill and Fox features stationery with designs by Yas Imamura. Based out of Portland, Oregon, she also designs custom stationery and wedding invitations. Ooooo. Her feminine and whimsical designs are quite lovely and can be found via her Etsy shop or in several locations around the country and in England. She has a great selection of Valentine’s Day cards out as you can see. Hop on it, people! (If it was Easter, that would have been a great pun.)

This week we’ve got Christopher David Ryan aka CDR and his Birds Print. He is a New England-based graphic artist + illustrator whose hands are in a number of interesting projects. “Since 2005 [his] shop has been a marketplace for CDR’s work in all of its forms; prints, books, tees and various other bits & bobs,” according to his shop.
Check out his website here.

Is it too late to buy a new 2012 calendar? How lovely is this one from Our Paper Shop? It features the photography of Laura Dart, measures 11 by 17 inches, and can be framed, stuck to a cork board, or placed with magnets onto your fridge … What would you do?
Check it out here.
[Edit: And it’s almost gone! Order soon!]
If we had managed to actually get Christmas cards out to people this year, I would have bought them from Rachel’s lovely online stationery shop Mercier Beaucoup.
And they would have been these…
Basically, I’m pretty glad we never got around to it because I love ALL OF THESE! (And more! See below.)
Based out of New York City, Rachel Mercier is the owner and curator of this lovely collection featuring many boutique brands. All of our favorites, basically.
The best thing about MB, however, is their Monthly Stationery Subscriptions. Wanna know what that means?
It means for only $36 you will receive three hand-selected greeting cards in a pretty little box with pretty little paper for three months in a row.
It’s like a little surprise present each month! And it doesn’t have to end after three months. You can get 3, 6, or 12 month subscriptions. The cards you receive will be completely random and allow you to stock up your card selection for all last-minute card needs.
Do you remember that old commercial where the lady is in the other room when she hears her quests talking about how, “oh, my birthday is tomorrow!” and “oh, our anniversary is this weekend!” so she scuttles to her little cabinet and has every card she would ever need tucked in there? I love that! I’ve always wanted a little greeting card stash.
Well, here’s a good, fun way to do it!
Below are some more of my favorite Christmas cards from the shop. Click here to see more lovely non-holiday cards!

1canoe2's Alphabet Letter Print
The name 1canoe2, says business owners Carrie Shryock and Beth Snyder, “comes from years of dreaming up big ideas around a campfire and floating down a spring-fed Missouri river in a canoe.”
They hail from Columbia, Missouri and have been around for only about 4 years, but their letterpress ephemera can be found all around the U.S. now at a location near you. They deal mainly with woodcut or letterpress prints, the latter of which they make on two 2,000 lb, 70 year old Chandler&Price presses. In their shop you will find art prints, note cards, calendars, recipe cards, and the cutest little drink coasters ever. Some of these you may have seen before. They are getting quite the toss about in the blogosphere these days.
Here are a few of my favorite things that are currently available on the Etsy site:
