I’ll be traveling to the Oregon coast in a couple weeks with a bunch of junior high and high school kids for a church youth event. Even though I’ve been living in this state for 5 and a half years, I have never spent more than a day on its chilly sands so I am looking forward to this weekend jaunt.

Dear friends,
I sincerely apologize for my lack of postal inspiration these days. It’s pretty ridiculous. I have no music to share. No thoughts to share….But here are some pretty pictures that have been inspiring me this week. My favorite being the lovely bedroom above with the yellow wool blanket and wonderful mid-century side table. My grandparents in California have ones just like them (except maybe more squatty.)

I actually couldn’t find a music video today that was awesome enough for a music monday post. Can you believe that? I tried, I really did. So instead here’s a little collection of things I’ve been liking recently. I love the eclectic kitchen (haven’t found out where it’s from.) When I was single my living spaces were always filled with a hoarded bunch of eccentricities and random beautiful or ugly items passed down to me or found in thrift stores. Now that I’m married and have a house, I feel like I’ve kind of grown up … which makes me sad. I have made a point to make sure that everything goes well together. Not matchy-matchy, mind you. Oh, never that. But my living room … it just … to me it looks too nice. I hope to bring back some of the oddball stuff in the coming months. I’m done being ordinary.

tea time

Everytime I feel Spring creeping up on us, I get the urge to have a lovely tea party. Well, it’s happening. It’s the one time a year where I feel the need to be extremely feminine and wear a summer dress. Can’t wait. Here’s some inspiration.
