ConiLab is Coni Della Vedova, a freelance graphic designer based out of Barcelona. For almost two years, Coni has been designing and producing handmade screenprints from her “laboratory” but she also has a history of studio work and collaboration with designers such as Peret & Espeus.

Below are a few of my favorites from her online shop, which you can find here.

Today we have a wee hedgehog entitled “Fall Hedgehog, flowers” by Katie Vernon (aka ChipmunkCheeks on Etsy).

In her shop you’ll find lots of lovely, whimsical creatures but I love this little hedgehog and the wonderful colors of his bouquet! The colorful little figure in his hill of whitespace would be so cute in a little girl’s room!

Bear and woodland Creatures, Fox, Deer, Hare, Badger is the wonderful work of Tracey Long, a freelance artist living in the countryside on the border of England and Wales. Her work is so lovely, so whimsical. (I am always in the mood for some whimsy.) Her shop on Etsy is called Chasing the Crayon and can be found here. But this print is my favorite. (I have a thing for woodland creatures. Maybe I watched too much of Nick Jr’s Little Bear well into my 20s. Who knows?)

In honor of good ol’ Saint Valentine, we have this sweet couple today, printed by Eszter Schall of Budakeszi, Hungary. She attended Novus Art School in Budapest and now focuses on illustration and graphic design. They’re sweet, don’t you think? They perfectly show what I love about love. They’re shielding each other from the rain and content with each other in this beautiful, but semi-depressing scene.

I hope each of you have a perfectly lovely Valentine’s Day!

    LARGE POUCH - lines/rain

Bookhou is John Booth and Arounna Khounnoraj, a husband and wife design team residing in Toronto, Canada. Along with their Etsy store they also have a brick-and-mortar shop in Toronto and an online shop of their own here. They design and make items such as handbags, scarves, paper goods, ceramic items, and more inspired by the organic lines and shapes found in nature and urban landscapes. John has been trained in painting, architecture and woodworking, and Arounna started out making sculptural works before changing her focus to design and textile work. Oh, and they also have two little kiddos to raise. Their design aesthetic is that wonderful mixture of modern, urban and organic, filled with those geometric shapes we love so much these days.

Moon and Back Valentine's Day Card 1pc

Quill and Fox features stationery with designs by Yas Imamura. Based out of Portland, Oregon, she also designs custom stationery and wedding invitations. Ooooo. Her feminine and whimsical designs are quite lovely and can be found via her Etsy shop or in several locations around the country and in England. She has a great selection of Valentine’s Day cards out as you can see. Hop on it, people! (If it was Easter, that would have been a great pun.)

This week we have Cathy McMurray’s print entitled Bloom. She is a multimedia artist hailing from Portland, Oregon. After teaching high school art in Eugene, OR for ten years, she decided to pursue another dream: owning her own retail store which sold artwork from local artists, but since 2009 she has been pursuing her own art full time. You’ll find a link to her Flickr account at the bottom of the page where you can see all the art she’s created in the past year. Find her Etsy shop here.
